Autocar Excellence shines on the national tourism scene

Sainte-Claire, Quebec, December 12, 2005—Autocar Excellence, a tour and charter operator based in the Greater Quebec City area, has once again proven its unwavering commitment to the tourism industry. The company is proud to have been selected as a finalist for the prestigious 2005 TIAC (Tourism Industry Association of Canada) National Awards for Tourism Excellence. They have been nominated in the category— Corporate Partner of the Year.

Real Boissonneault, President of Autocar Excellence, and his team were nominated for their outstanding initiative in developing a partnership with New Brunswick Tourism. Autocar Excellence placed a bus wrap depicting the beautiful landscapes of New Brunswick on one of its luxury coaches. As the coach travels across the highways of North America, it serves as an imaginative advertisement for the province.

Boissonneault says, “I believe we were nominated for our innovative approach in promoting a tourist destination with a bus wrap. We share a common goal with New Brunswick Tourism—that is, to develop tourism activity as much as possible in the province. It was a joint effort.”

Autocar Excellence boasts a fleet of 26 luxury motorcoaches, 22 of which are Prevosts. The company serves the regions of Quebec City, Montreal, and New Brunswick, and is a member of the International Motorcoach Group.

The family-run business is a division of Groupe Tourcar, which is involved in the tourism industry with the agencies Voyages Tour Etudiant and Voyages Club Select, as well as the maple sugar shack Erabliere le Chemin du Roy, located in the Quebec City area.
